The list of abbreviations in the RGG4, which is now being published as a separate work, has set a new standard for abbreviations in the field of theology and scholarly disciplines bordering on this. In order to make this volume suitable for everyday use by students, researchers and in teaching as well, an alphabetical list of titles with the abbreviations belonging to them has been added for lexica, sources, series and journals.
