Jens Leker expands the undifferentiated research on strategic change to include a differentiated way of looking at strategic change. At the heart of this is a typology of strategic reorientation. Based on this typology, the author analyzes the causes and effects of various types of strategic change, paying special attention to the correlation with the economic situation shown in the annual statement of accounts. This is supplemented by a wealth of qualitative corporate characteristics which can be taken from the evaluated credit files.
