Based on musicological concepts, Christine Oefele develops a hermeneutic-methodical approach to the acoustical shape of written texts which she applies to the composition of Mark's Gospel. Her exegesis reveals how the Evangelist deals with the issues of Christology and discipleship within the oral/aural structures.
