With the publication of Frühe Schriften (1925–1936) all publications and all preserved – and fairly complete – manuscripts written in Popper's formative years in Vienna are at long last made easily available. During that period, the focus of Popper's interest changed from education and the psychology of knowledge to the theory of knowledge.
This intellectual development is documented by Frühen Schriften which includes papers from those early days, when he was an obscure student at the Pedagogical Institute of Vienna, and up to those days, when – after the publication of Logik der Forschung (1934) – he was to become a rather well-known philosopher who involved himself in hectic discussions with Heisenberg, v. Weizsäcker, Einstein, and Bohr on the interpretation of quantum mechanics and who also lectured and participated in discussions at the First and Second International Congress for the Unity of Science (Paris 1935; Copenhagen 1936).
