Integratives Verstehen

In this volume, eleven authors study the works of Ralf Dreier, one of the outstanding legal philosophers of a generation which grew up before 1945 but whose independent thinking did not develop until the post-war period. Dreier's thoughts focused on the core question in the philosophy of law: »What is the law?«. His way of dealing with this problem can be described using the terms system and interpretation. He studied the relationship between the philosophy of law, the theory of law, the sociology of law and legal dogmatics with great integrative energy.
