Summary
The conditions for the generation and dissemination of knowledge and information have changed since the time when intellectual property law attained its present form. These changes constitute challenges for intellectual property law, in particular for rights which aim at promoting innovation (such as patents) or cultural diversity (such as copyright). The contributions to this volume examine the changes from an interdisciplinary and a legal perspective and discuss possible reactions of patent and copyright law.
