Ebeling's three volume work on Luther's Disputatio de homine is now complete. This unprecedented work in Luther research intensively interprets the historical and material interlockings of Luther's concise text of 40 theses. The present third volume is the most comprehensive and has developed into a summary of Luther's theology. The separate highly readable presentation is followed by an especially complete formal apparatus with the sources largely in the original wording.
