Summary
Walter Adolf Jöhr is a proponent of a value-oriented economy which does not only attempt to solve technocratic problems but in the light of political ethics is also aware of its responsibility. He supports a market economy, but with those limitations which are necessary for accepting the market economy system. His ideas have increased in relevance, particularly following the victory of the market economy after the Berlin Wall was torn down and the reorientation of the market economy which became necessary as a result of this. In this context W.A. Jöhr's remarks on concentration in the economy and on the necessity of strengthening the competition as well as on the social and ecological effects of the market economy are of far-reaching significance.
