Summary
Arnd Lohmann deals with the principle of party autonomy in the context of international sales of goods within and outside the sphere of application of the Vienna Sales Convention. He examines the exclusion of the Uniform Sales Law according to article 6 CISG as well as the prerequisites of and the extent to which the parties may choose the Uniform Sales Law by reference as the proper law of their contract where the Convention is not automatically applicable.
