Religionsgemeinschaften in Israel

Angelika Günzel analyzes the legal status of religious communities in Israel. Within this framework her study aims at defining different legal categories for these communities, in order to determine whether Israel is a religious state or a secular state which cooperates to a certain extent with religious communities and/or with different religions. One central point of interest in this work is the concept of an official recognition of a religious community or a religion as such by the state.
