»Sexuelle Orientierung« als Diskriminierungsgrund: Regelungsbedarf in Deutschland und Polen?

Dealing with discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation has always been and still is a socio-political challenge. Even though EU and domestic constitutional laws provide against such discrimination, the scope of prohibition remains disputed, particularly by traditional marriage and family views. The findings of a conference examining the issue, and held in autumn 2015, are presented in this volume. After laying psycho-medical fundamentals and analysing European and international law exigencies, the most relevant issues within constitutional, civil, criminal and administrative law were examined from both German and Polish perspectives in order to answer essential questions such as: What is the current standard of law? Where is reform needed? Where has consensus been reached and what remains controversial? And last but not least: Can Germany and Poland learn from each other?
