Mohr Siebeck offers authors the opportunity to publish in Open Access. A work can appear in Open Access either in tandem with the print version or with a time-delay following the print publication.
Works published in Open Access will be assured of the same high standards of content and other quality characteristics as all other Mohr Siebeck publications. Each will undergo external peer review, although processes may vary according to discipline-specific demands. Our program directors will forward submitted manuscripts to internationally recognised experts, who are not associated with either the institution applying or the author, for independent evaluation. To be accepted for publication, a unanimous recommendation will then be required from the series' editors.
Whatever the case, a specially-edited PDF for the online publication will be made available at online.mohrsiebeck.com. In addition to the normal visibility of Open Access titles, we are able to offer an enhanced service, which includes:
We will be pleased to calculate a fee for your Open Access publication. However, fees can vary considerably because each case involves a variety of factors, such as the number of pages, retail price of the print version, kind of binding, how the book has been produced, and the length of the embargo. A sample quotation can be found here.
We endeavour to meet the requirements of nation and international scholarly research organisations and funding bodies.
Should you wish to publish in open access, please get in touch with the appropriate editor to receive an offer which meets your requirements.
Our Open Access titles can be found here.
Journal subscriptions include free access to the online full text.

Edited and Translated by Michael Meerson and Peter Schäfer with the collaboration of Yaacov Deutsch, David Grossberg, Avigail Manekin, and Adina Yoffie
Toledot Yeshu ("The Life Story of Jesus") is a satirical counter-history presenting a "biography" of Jesus from an anti-Christian perspective. This is the first critical edition of all the available Hebrew and Aramaic Toledot Yeshu manuscripts, including an introduction and English translation. Together with the printed edition and translation we provide access to a fully searchable database of all Toledot Yeshu manuscripts that offers a sophisticated research tool and allows browsing, printing, and comparing the manuscripts and their microforms.
The price includes access to the database (for one simultaneous user). Access for institutions is provided through the IP address, for private individuals through username and password. An activation code is enclosed in the book. Access to a free seven day trial period can be obtained here: toledot@mohrsiebeck.com. More...
Toledot Yeshu: The Life Story of Jesus is published in the Texts and Studies in Ancient Judaism (TSAJ) series.
