The current geopolitical developments also have an impact on DHL parcel shipping. According to information from DHL, postal customs clearance of parcels to the USA will probably no longer be possible from August 29, 2025.
The USA has announced that it will discontinue customs clearance for parcels under the Treaty concerning the formation of a General Postal Union (Treaty of Bern). According to DHL, it is to be feared that parcels will be returned after this period with the corresponding fees.
This means that all shipments to the USA will require forwarding customs clearance in future. Shipping via DHL Paket International will then no longer be possible. For this reason, we will have to switch to UPS delivery from August 29. For orders over 3 KG there will be higher shipping costs in the future. We ask for your understanding.
