Mohr Siebeck Partners with the Professional Association of Jewish Studies

for the 2026 Arnold Goldberg Dissertation Prize

Mohr Siebeck is a partner of the 2026 Arnold Goldberg Dissertation Prize, which the Professional Association of Jewish Studies, Jewish Studies, and Jewish Theology in Germany e. V. is awarding for the first time this year.

The prize honors an outstanding dissertation in the aforementioned fields that was completed at a German university.
As part of the partnership, Mohr Siebeck offers the award winner the opportunity to publish the dissertation—subject to the series’ standard peer-review process—in the series Texts and Studies in Medieval and Early Modern Judaism (TSMJ). The publisher will cover the publication fees; two years after publication, the volume will also be made available via Open Access. In addition, the publisher will provide a book voucher worth 1,000 euros.
Applications may be submitted until May 31, 2026. The full call for applications is available on the association’s website.
