Summary

All local cultures of the western Mediterranean expressed devotion to their gods in
one way or another, especially through the offering of tangible objects: materials
destined for the gods, such as bronze figurines or altars. Some cultures occasionally
incorporated texts in these offerings, but, as will be shown in this paper, not all of
these cultures made their dedications in the same way. The aim of this paper is
therefore to analyse the structure and materiality of religious dedications in the
local languages. I will point out which elements are part of the local repertoire and
whether they follow fixed structures or whether each culture and region developed
its religious inscriptions differently.
