Summary
The climate crisis is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, reflected in Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. This article examines whether the international community is on track to achieve SDG 13 four years before the 2030 deadline. It analyzes the goal's sub-targets across international, national, and municipal levels of climate law, with a particular focus on Germany. Special attention is given to current developments, including climate justice and relevant case law. Despite political and economic uncertainties, SDG 13 continues to shape legal frameworks and climate action, especially at the local level.
