In the debate surrounding the quality of (Sunday) church services, congregation involvement is a criterion which should once again be given recognition. In keeping with the interaction theory, the author of this article defines congregation involvement as the presence, activity and interrelationships of those who take part in the church service and includes empirical material in the discussion.
