The interpretation of Paul constitutes an impressive continuum in Rudolf Bultmann's scholarly work. Based on the way in which he was influenced by the »Religionsgeschichtliche Schule« up to a highly developed existential interpretation, he attained anthropological and hermeneutic insights which had an impact on the discussion. According to Bultmann, the Pauline texts revealed the possibilities of being on which their significance for the present is based.
