200 Jahre Praktische Theologie

That practical theology was founded at the beginning of the nineteenth century is a widely shared perception. The editors of this volume take the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the first full professorship and setting up of the »College for Ministry« between 1813 and 1815 in Tübingen as occasion to trace the founding history and further development of practical theology. In case studies, the authors ask in what sense practical theology can actually be described as having been founded in the nineteenth century and how the subject's history in the last two centuries can be reconstructed in its real form when represented by one faculty.
