Eray Gündüz explores the dimensions of abstraction in property law theory to come up with a philosophically sound and critical model of justification. Accordingly, all guiding principles of property law can be traced back to the possession of a physical object. This is not only useful for a better understanding of property in Germany's Basic Law but can also be found in the philosophy of property in the early modern period.
