Summary
This book explains how John Gerson (1363-1429) developed his theological position as an interpreter of the bible and a guarantor of the orthodoxy of the University of Paris. His later works were based on this. The above mentioned enjoyed high esteem as a theologian of the Constance Council, an advocate of the democratized mysticism and an author of catechetical writings. Even German spiritual authors appreciated his works written in French for unlearned people.
