Alte Kirche

The teaching and workbook treats central topics of the early church up to the end of the fifth century. Particular focus is placed on the interactions among theological, political, social, and religio-historical developments. Each chapter treats one century of early church history and introduces its external history, religio-historical contexts, interconnections between church and its environment, intra-ecclesial developments, theological topics, literature, and formative figures of the respective period. A detailed resource section, thematic overviews, maps and graphics, as well as an eLearning course facilitate reading and study.
