Ambulante Palliativmedizin als Bedingung einer ars moriendi

The circumstances surrounding the process of dying were taboo in Germany for a long time. They are often misrepresented in special debates on (assisted) suicide and living wills. In their interdisciplinary studies, the authors of this volume attempt to cover the everyday situation of dying and to integrate the special issues concerned into these studies. Their aim is to contribute to a renewed art of dying, an ars moriendi. The authors, well-known scholars and experts in their fields, work in palliative medicine, medical ethics and medical history, theological dogmatics and practical theology, psychiatry and philosophy, philosophy of law, criminal law and medical law.
