Begegnungen im Recht

In order to honor Karsten Schmidt, an exceptional human being and scholar, on his 70th birthday, his colleagues at the Bucerius Law School presented him with a lecture series. The ten encounters in the law, each focusing on a different subject, provide insight into the various research interests, show the connection between the subjects and prove the usefulness of a discussion which transcends traditional boundaries and which in the end develops into a discussion with students, research assistants and colleagues from the various law schools in Hamburg and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. The lectures take a generalist approach and are committed to looking at the law as a whole.
