Bibel in gerechter Sprache? Kritik eines misslungenen Versuchs

The »Bible in a just language« fails to meet the requirements for a translation in general, and for the biblical texts specifically. The presuppositions reflect the theological and political concerns of the translators, but do not take into account the historical and political circumstances of the biblical texts themselves. This edition of the Bible therefore conflicts with the presuppositions which are commonly acknowledged in historical-critical research. It also falls short of the essential insight of the Reformation that the biblical texts function as a corrective for expositions in Christian churches and theology.
