The principle of legality is known all over Europe today, although it is faced by various threats. China as well can look back on a long history of conflicts with the principle of legality. It had faded into the background in the commotion of the Cultural Revolution, but is now becoming increasingly important. This study of comparative criminal law from a German-Chinese perspective shows the problems and gives proposals for solutions to these.
