Recent influences and developments triggered by Britain's membership in the E.C. as well as the fraying of the transatlantic ties between Britain and the U.S. highlight an area of law which has been a source of controversy for decades. Oliver Brand suggests ways to reconcile conflicting authorities on issues such as the proper characterization of interest on damages in a Pan-European context.
