This volume is the result of the author's work as a judge and was motivated by a flood of suits for damages due to junk properties. Franz Schnauder examines the basic principles of the court rulings on the liability of investment brokers and loan creditors and looks into the question of how it is possible that there is such an exceptional flood of lawsuits. In his opinion, the reason for this is the inadequate structure of the German Federal Supreme Court.
