Liberal democracy is under pressure, and thus in this work Nils Schaks does a study of »democratic deconsolidation.« He studies the topic through a comparative law lens and concludes that the essential content guarantee (Art. 19 para. 2 German Basic Law) may prevent democratic deconsolidation. His example is freedom of assembly.
