Summary
The classic constitutional model refers to the creation of political unity within the framework of a nation state. This model is facing two challenges at the moment: globalization and a progressive differentiation of the social spheres leading to the development of »partial constitutions« which are sectorially limited. Together and in view of this development, they give rise to the question of what the »intrinsic value« of constitutional law actually is.
