Der Rechtsstatus des Religionsunterrichts im pluralistischen Verfassungssystem

The decreasing church structures, especially in the new »Länder«, the immigration of millions of Moslems, incalculable changes in the cultural and political climate in the churches and the challenge posed by offering religion and ethics as an alternative subject in the schools in Brandenburg have turned religious instruction into a culturally and politically controversial topic. In this work, Martin Heckel supplies arguments in favor of Christian religious instruction and at the same time indicates his support for the efforts being made to introduce Islamic religious instruction as well.
