This volume deals with the extent to which a parent company is exposed to the risk of being fined for infringements originating within the sphere of an affiliated company. The authors address the issue of piercing the corporate veil by imposing public sanctions on parent companies in an interdisciplinary analysis of corporate law, antitrust law and criminal law. In doing so, they draw on empirical data and also take a doctrinal perspective.
