It is quite possible for the press to commit violations of the intangible right to privacy which transcend the national borders. Since restitution has scarcely a chance of succeeding in these cases, the injunction is of the utmost importance for legal protection. However this also limits freedom of speech and freedom of the press. In view of this discrepancy, Verena Fricke outlines a solution for international private law.
