Ulrike Graf examines German international insolvency law, which has been heavily influenced during the last 20 years by court rulings and legislation through which approaches to enforcing foreign insolvency decisions within the country have evolved. After examining the law in force and defining German international insolvency law in comparison with the laws of other countries and against the backdrop of the European Union, she explains the basis for the recognition of foreign insolvency decisions.
