In dealing with easement, this work examines a practically significant institution of German property law. The author focuses on the potential and the limitations of private-autonomous structuring by the property owners involved which are analysed against the background of the fundamental dogmatics and the history of the legal institution. In addition, she suggests options for a number of individual constellations which are relevant to practice.
