With the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains, lawmakers' objective was to foster decent working conditions for all employees in the supply chain of German companies. The regulation's effectiveness is however limited by the influence of its German-European viewpoint - which is highlighted by insights from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
