This volume gathers essays by Ulrike Mittmann in which she shows that ancient Christianity recognised Jesus of Nazareth in early Judaism's binitarian vision of God with Christ as the pre-existent Son of God who was at one with God, and in so doing laid the foundations for the later triune image of God.
