Summary

Using texts by Ernst Troeltsch, this reader provides a cross-section of the works written by the systematician and religious philosopher. The texts are divided into three sections. They start with the methodological and practical issues in theology and the philosophy of religion. Following this, Ernst Troeltsch's studies of the influence of Protestant Christianity on the modern world are documented. The third section deals with his writings on the philosophy of history and politics. The texts were selected by Friedemann Voigt.
