Summary
The Augsburg-Munich draft of a Reproductive Medicine Act presents a basic amendment to the law on reproductive medicine. It proposes new regulations for in vitro fertilization, preimplantation genetic diagnosis, sperm and egg cell donation, embryo transfers and surrogate motherhood as well as how to deal with surplus embryos. Improper use of reproductive technologies such as cloning are to be prohibited in general.
