Summary
Human beings long to be whole. However at the same time they admit to their own lack of perfection and realize that they have to become whole. In the essays contained in this volume, Eberhard Jüngel assumes that there are anticipations of wholeness and that this wholeness does not come about by itself; it is passed on to us by the sacramental power of the gospel. The essays and speeches reprinted in this volume, which were written over a period of several decades, demonstrate the various aspects of this.
