Summary
This volume contains twelve important but previously difficult to access essays by the Bonn professor emeritus of law Ulrich Huber, all of which contributed to deeper discussion of their themes and have had a lasting effect on legal development. The essays on civil law's basic premises and questions of negligence deal with imperilment, fault, legal interpretation and the abstract nature of rights in rem. Others discuss the seller's and buyer's debt liability following the acquisition of a business, questions of the applicable law in insolvency proceedings, the problems faced by foreign subsidiaries in acquiring holding company shares and how to interpret the German Stock Corporation Act. The collection is concluded by two articles on management contracts.
