Geschichte der Leben-Jesu-Forschung

This work by the then young Albert Schweitzer, published at the beginning of the 20th century, has since become a theological classic. It wiped clean the slate of 150 years' historical-critical research and cleared the way for a new start. It made the history of Life-of-Jesus Research - the epochal »truthfulness of protestant Christianity« - so transparent that in this dialogue, the personal uniqueness of the individual characters comes to the fore just as much as their factual meaning.
