Summary
This volume provides an overview of the history of patent law in Germany and attempts to bring together a first synthesis of recent research results. The time frame involved stretches from the 18th century´s »inventor privileges« period right up till the efforts for a Europe-wide patent, concerning the setting up of Imperial Patent Office, National Socialism´s patent law reform and the »patent crisis« of the 1960s.
