Globalisierte Religion

A careful look at one's own environment is enough to show that religion is becoming increasingly globalized in the 21st century. Henrik Simojoki deals with this complex phenomenon. He begins by describing the large-scale globalization of religion from a sociological standpoint, then looks at it from the perspective of theology and in conclusion puts it into the context of the globalization debate on education. His interdisciplinary study leads to a coherent theory of religious education which he develops within the triple context of the globalized world, globalized Christianity and globalized religions. He describes the precise ways in which this theory can be used for preparing lessons in and for teaching religion.
