  Summary
The Bible consistently conceives of the human being as embodied. In dialogue with the embodied cognitive science and the philosophy of embodiment, Gregor Etzelmüller shows the realism of the biblical perceptions and makes them fruitful for a systematic anthropology. By linking the biblical and interdisciplinary orientation, this anthropology gains new insights in what it means to be the embodied image of God.
