The »Handbook of Ethical Education« presents central themes of ethical education by focussing on theological and religious-educational perspectives. More than 49 articles cover a broad spectrum ranging from adolescents as subjects of ethical learning and educational processes, terminological and conceptual foundations of ethical education to ethical questions in theological contexts, such as political ethics, economic, environmental or medical ethics. The positions of different religions, including Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, are also dealt with, as are contexts of ethical educational processes in religious education, such as competence orientation, inclusion or the question of truth, central learning paths and methods of education. Here, learning from case studies, from dilemmas, through action or in digitalised spaces, is explored. Rounding off the volume is a look at ethical learning and educational processes in the non-school settings of child day-care centres, community work and adult education.
