Jürgen Basedow (1949-2023):was Director at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law, Hamburg, and Professor of Law at the University of Hamburg; Membre associÃ© de l'Institut de droit international; Titular Member and Secretary General of the International Academy of Comparative Law; member of numerous advisory bodies at the German and EU level, inter alia, Chairman of the German Monopolies Commission; member of the Groupe europÃ©en de droit international privÃ©; and member of the Deutscher Rat fÃ¼r Internationales Privatrecht.

Josef Drexl is Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Munich, and since 2001 director of the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law in Munich.

Annette Kur is Head of Department at the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition and Tax Law (Nordic countries), and Associate Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Stockholm.

Axel Metzger ist Professor für Bürgerliches Recht und Immaterialgüterrecht, insbesondere Gewerblicher Rechtsschutz an der Juristischen Fakultät der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
