Summary
The book contains contributions discussing the oeuvre of Gerhard Kegel and Alexander Lüderitz which were presented during a symposium on the occasion of Kegel's 100th birthday and Lüderitz' 80th birthday on December 1st, 2012. In their essays, the authors discuss whether 20th century conflict of laws methods, which were strongly influenced by the works of both academics, can be used to explain problems of private international law in the 21st century and how they can serve as the foundation of modern conflict of laws methodology.
