Summary
The text Miqṣat Ma῾aśe Ha-Torah, Some of the Works of the Torah (4QMMT), is the oldest witness from pre-Christian, Hellenistic times for the explicit interpretation of the Jewish law, the so-called Halakha, as it became customary and was widely attested in later rabbinical tradition. This volume provides a new edition and translation as well as several contributions from renowned scholars on the manuscripts, the language and content plus literary and historical contexts of this writing.
