Summary
As a result of the reform of the law of obligations, German sales law has been strongly aligned to the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. In her work, Barbara Grunewald deals with the entire sales law in force in the Federal Republic of Germany, showing the common ground and the differences. Both Barbara Grunewald's book »Kaufrecht«, which has just been published, and Gerhard Walter's »Kaufrecht«, published in 1987, which it replaces, have been given the volume number 6 in the series »Handbuch des Schuldrechts.« Barbara Grunewald's book has nonetheless not been called a »new edition«, since she provides a completely new treatment of sales law.
